The Continental Volleyball Conference has selected the College of Mount St. Joseph to host the 2014 conference crossover and 2015 conference tournament.
“The Mount is the perfect site for these two prestigious events,” said Head Men’s Volleyball Coach Ryan Lengerich. “I would like to thank CVC Commissioner Gary Williams, who recognized the Mount’s facilities are well suited for the events and Greater Cincinnati is a great area for teams to visit and compete.”
The Continental Volleyball Conference will be divided into a six-team West Division and a six-team East Division for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. During the conference crossover event, teams from the east and west will meet at the College to face each other over the weekend of Feb. 8-9.
“The Harrington Center will be the perfect facility for hosting the crossover event, which will bring in some of the best Division III competition in the country,” Lengerich added. “We are blessed here with some of the best facilities in the conference, and we look forward to showing them off to the conference and the community.”
The 2015 conference tournament date has yet to be determined. The event will feature the top three teams from the east and west.
The Lions also plan to host a separate home tournament on Jan. 18 and 19 of the 2014 season.
