Mount men's track & field competes at the Marv Frye Invitational

The Lions traveled to Delaware, Ohio this Saturday to participate in the Marv Frye Invitational at Ohio Wesleyan University. The Lions placed 13th out of 14 teams recording 21.50 points. The meet champion was the host Ohio Wesleyan with 116 points, followed by Baldwin-Wallace with 78, and Case Western with 76.

Micquelle Burton (Cincinnati, OH/Deer Park) continued his stand out preformances with another first place finish, and 10 points earned in the long jump. Burton jumped a season long 6.89 meters to best the competition by almost 0.4 meters. Ray Claytor (Cincinnati, OH/LaSalle) had a strong preformance in the high jump, jumping 1.83 meters, good enough to place him in a tie for fourth, earning 4.50 points. In the Discus throw Michael Kidder (Kings Mill, OH/Kings) placed fifth. The throw of 40.62 meters was good enough to earn four points for the Lions. Kidder also placed seventh in the Hammer throw with a throw of 42.71 meters.

The Lions will return to Delaware, Ohio next week for the All-Ohio Championships. The meet will begin Saturday, April 13 at noon.
