Lions' men's track & field team records fourth place standing at the MSJ Invitational

The Lions hosted the College of Mount St. Joseph Inviataional on Friday, holding the meet at both Schueler and Hayden Fields, with 10 schools participating in 19 events. The Notre Dame College Falcons were the team champions with 128 points, followed by Defiance with 104, Thomas More with 89, and the fourth place Lions finished with 86 points.

Micquelle Burton (Cincinnati, OH/Deer Park) continued to stand out for the Lions. In the 200-meter dash, Burton finished second in a time of 22.04, recording eight points. Burton also earned 10 points by finishing first in the 400-meter dash, in a time of 49.99. His also particpated in the Long Jump, finishing first again. Burton's jump of 6.31 meters was good for 10 more points. Ray Claytor (Cincinnati, OH/La Salle) continued his strong preformances in the high jump with a jump of 1.95 meters, good for 10 points and first place.

Michael Kidder (Kings Mill, OH/Kings) and Gabe Stiver (Cincinnati, OH/Moeller) earned the Lions 11 points in the shot put. Kidder's throw of 13.70 meters earned the Lions six points, while Stiver's throw of 13.39 meters was worth five. Kidder also earned eight points in the hammer throw with a throw of 50.11 meters.

The Lions return to action next Saturday, March 30, as they travel to Hanover, Indiana for the Hanover College Invitational.
