The 2013 HCAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Preseason Poll has been released and the Lions have been chosen for eighth place by the conference's coaches. Rose-Hulman was selected as a unanimous number one selection, followed by Defiance, Manchester, Franklin and Anderson. Hanover, Earlham, the Mount, Bluffton and Transylvania round out the second half of the 10-team poll.

Mount junior Micquelle Burton (Cincinnati, OH/Deer Park), in sprints, senior Michael Kidder (Kings Mills, OH/Kings), in throws; and junior Ray Claytor (Cincinnati, OH/La Salle) in jumps, were chosen as Athletes to Watch this season.
