12 athletes from the Lions' men's track & field team represented the Mount at the Marietta College Invitational this afternoon. The men's track & field team returns to action next Friday with the Baldwin-Wallace College Invitational.
Michael Carter (Cincinnati, OH/Walnut Hills) qualified for the 55-meter dash recording a time of 6.69 in the prelims. Carter placed eighth in the final trial with a time of 7.47.
Carter partnered with teammates Micquelle Burton (Cincinnati, OH/Deer Park), Brendan Dean (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon), and Colton Chicketti (Centerville, OH/Alter) to take second place in the 4x200 Meter Relay with a time of 1:38.32 beating out the third place team by .59 seconds.
Sophomore Sean Wiwi (West Harrison, IN/Franklin County) ran in the 300-meter dash and took sixth place with a time of 49.32.
Casey Gilmour (Dillsboro, IN/South Dearborn) placed sixth for the Lions in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.27.
Bryan McKiddy (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) led the Mount in the shot put finishing ninth overall with a throw of 12.09m.
Michael Kidder (Kings Mills, OH/Kings) took fifth place in the weight throw with a distance of 14.11m.
