Lions' men's tennis team posts 9-0 shutout at home over Central State University

The College of Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team returned to their winning ways on Thursday at home, recording a 9-0 win over Central State University. The Mount is now 3-5 overall, and will be back in action on April 12 when they host HCAC-rival Earlham College.

The Lions claimed straight set wins in five of six singles matches against Central State University, with fourth singles player Drew Royalty (Ashland, KY/Paul G. Blazer) scoring a 6-0, 6-0 win. Royalty teamed with Christian Gleason (Salem, IN/Salem) at third doubles for an 8-1 win. Kyle Haas (Jasper, IN/Northeast Dubois) won his second singles match 7-6 (9-7), 6-1 against the Marauders, and combined with Tony Faillace (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) at second doubles for an 8-2 victory.
