Lions' men's tennis team stays undefeated with a 7-2 win against Miami University Middletown

The College of Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team recorded wins in all six singles matches on Monday, en route to a 7-2 home win over Miami University Middletown. The Lions, 2-0 on the season, resumes fall play on Sept. 17 when they play at Indiana University East.

John Knoll (Cincinnati, OH/Turpin) registered a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles and then teamed with Ian Rowe (Winchester, KY/George Rogers Clark) at first doubles to record an 8-0 blanking. Rowe also won at second doubles, 6-2, 6-0. Destin Lewis (Unioto, OH/Northmont) had a three-set tiebreak win at third singles while Tony Faillace (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) won in straight sets at fourth singles. Lewis and Faillace combined at second doubles, dropping an 8-4 decision.
