The College of Mount St. Joseph men's tennis team began the fall schedule of their 2013-14 schedule this weekend by claiming a 7-2 home win over Miami University Hamilton. Due to the amount of players, only three singles matches were played, with MUH winning two of three, and the Lions taking the only doubles match played, 8-5.

Tony Faillace (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) won at first singles for the Mount, 6-0, 6-1 while second singles player Giordano Ottoni (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) dropped a hard-fought 6-2, 6-4 match. Christian Gleason (Salem, IN/Salem) and Destin Lewis (Unioto, OH/Northmont) combined a first doubels to win 8-5.

The Mount resume action on the court on Sept. 9 when they host Miami University Middletown.
