Lions men's tennis falls at home to HCAC-foe Transylvania University, 8-1

HCAC co-leader Transylvania University continued its conference undefeated record on Thursday afternoon at the Mount, defeating the Lions 8-1. The Mount, goes to 5-9 on the season, 1-7 in the conference, and concludes 2012-2013 play on April 28 when they host Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in a conference match.

The Lions' lone win on the day came at first singles, where Clayton Steinriede (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) and Kyle Haas (Jasper, IN/Northeast Dubois) teamed for a 8-4 win. Fifth singles player Tyler Esham (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) fell in his match, on a third-set tiebreaker, while Haas and Max Withrow (Ft. Mtichell, KY/Beechwood) both captured five games while losing in straight sets, at second and fourth singles respectively.
