Mount men's tennis team records an 8-1 home win over Wilmington College

The Lions claimed their fifth win of the season on Monday afternoon when they posted an 8-1 home win over Wilmington College. The Mount resumes action on April 24 when they host HCAC-opponent Transylvania University.

The Lions swept all six singles matches against the Quakers and won two of three doubles matches en route to the win. Max Withrow (Ft. Mitchell KY/Beechwood) led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles while he and second doubles partner Tyler Esham (New Richmond OH/New Richmod) won 8-4. Clayton Steinriede (Cincinnati OH/St. Xavier) won at first singles, 6-0, 6-1; and teammates John Knoll (Cincinnati OH/Turpin) and Esham posted 6-1, 6-1 wins at third and fifth singles, respectively.
