Mount men's tennis team posts an 8-1 win at Thomas More College

The College of Mount St. Joseph claimed its third win of the 2012-2013 season on Sunday afternoon, when they registered an 8-1 win at Thomas More College. The Lions improve to 3-6 overall, and will play again on April 14 when they take on Earlham College in HCAC action. The Mount is 0-4 in conference play this season.

Clayton Steinreide (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) continued his strong play, when he won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles against the Saints. He also teamed with Kyle Haas (Jasper, IN/Northeast Dubois) at first doubles, to record an 8-2 win. Haas also picked up two wins on Sunday, when he won his second singles match, 6-2, 6-0. Tyler Esham (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond) blanked his fifth singles opponent, 6-0, 6-0; and won at second doubles.

The Mount won five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches.
