Undefeated Denison University scored early and often in the first half, racing out to a 4-0 lead and a 6-1 advantage at the half, as they went on to a 7-1 victory over the Lions on Wednesday evening. The Mount, 0-3 on the season, will be back in action on Sept. 7 when they host Cincinnati Christian University.

The Lions broke through on the scoreboard in the game's 29th minute of play when Tyler Schumann (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) scored an unassisted goal - his first collegiate goal. Austin Cagle (Independence, KY/Simon Kenton) came off the bench for the Mount in the first half to take over the goalkeeping duties, and registered eight saves.

Denison out-shot the Lions, 29-9, and 17-4 in shots on goal.
