Thursday, October 25, 2012 Conference co-leader Transylvania University got goals late in the first hald and early in the second half on Wednesday night as they blanked the Lions, 2-0, on Senior Night at Schueler Field. The Mount, 3-12-1 overall, 1-6 in the HCAC, will conclude 2012 season play on Oct.27 when they play at conference foe Earlham College. Transy, 7-0-1 in the HCAC, and tied with Rose-Hulman for the top spot, scored the game's' first goal in the 44th minute of play and then added another goal, at 48:47. The Lions recorded 10 shots in the game, three on goal as they suffered the shutout. The Pioneers hed a 6-2 lead in corner kicks. Mount seniors Tyler Kenyon (Cincinnati, OH/Mariemont), Lee Rogers (Cincinati, OH/Mariemont), Gabe Abraham (Cincinnati, Northwestern), Nick Siko (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake), Nick Groman (New Richmond, OH/New Richmond), Shawn Damen (Georgetown, OH/Georgetown), Michael Brunner (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon), and James Grzebyk (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) were honored at halftime.
