Saturday, October 20, 2012 Christopher Earls (Cincinnati, OH/Colerain) scored his second goal of the season, and freshman teammate Jonathan Hurley (Lexington, KY/Paul Lawrence Dunbar) recorded his first career shutout, making two saves, as the Lions posted a 1-0 home win over HCAC-foe Anderson University on Friday afternoon. The Mount, 3-11-1 overall, 1-5 in the HCAC, will resume action on Oct. 24 when they host Senior Night against Transylvania University. Earls scored an unassisted goal at 57:13 to give his team a 1-0 advantage. The Mount out-shot the Ravens, 20-10, including 6-2 in shots on goal as Hurley, playing in his fifth game of the season, and making his first start, played all 90 minutes in goal. Each team recorded three corner kicks.
