Lions' men's soccer falls in overtime at cross-river rival Thomas More College, 2-1

The Lions jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Monday afternoon, scoring a goal in the game's 13th minute of play, but saw host Thomas More College tie the game just into the second half and when the game with an early OT goal, 2-1. The Mount, 2-6-1 on the season, returns to action on Sept. 26 when they host Baldwin Wallace University.

Nicholas Siko (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) got the scoring starting early for the Mount when he scored an unassisted goal at the 12:52 mark. Thomas More would knot the score at one-all 16 seconds into the second half, and the two teams would end regulation at one-all. The Saints scored the game-winner just 59 seconds into the OT period. The OT setback was the Mount's third this season.

Thomas More held a 17-8 shots advantage, including 10-4 in shots on goal. Tyler Kenyon (Cincinnati, OH/Mariemont) had eight saves for the Lions.
