Shayne Bateman (Cincinnati, OH/Oak Hills) scored with just 1;20 remaining to tie the score at two-all, but host Wittenberg University recorded a goal 5:18 into the overtime period to pull out a 3-2 win over the Mount on Wednesday evening. The Lions, who dropped their second straight OT game, are back in action on Sept. 22 when they host Asbury University.

Christopher Corbett (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) scored the game's first goal in the 30th minute of play only to see Wittenberg score goals at the 39:03 and 69:20 minute marks of the game, to go ahead, 2-1. Bateman scored off a pass from Gabe Abraham (Cincinnati, OH/Northwestern) near the end of regulation to force overtime.

The Tigers held a 12-11 advantage in shots, including 7-6 in shots on goal. Bryson Lewis (Blanchester, OH/Blanchester) and Nicholas Siko (Avon Lake, OH/Avon Lake) assisted on Corbett's goal.
