Visiting Concordia (WI) University rolled out to an 11-1 lead at the half on Saturday afternoon and went on to a 22-5 victory over the Mount at Schueler Field. The Lions, 1-11 overall, 0-5 in the MLC, will returns to action on April 9 at Fontbonne University.

Concordia used a deliberate, and effective offensive attack through the early part of the game, bolting out to a 6-0 lead. The Mount got on the scoreboard nearly midway through the second quarter, when John Ewing (LaPorte, IN/LaPorte) registered a goal, to make the score 6-1. The Mount was out-shot by Concordia, 23-5 over the first 30 minutes of play.

Jesse Mayer (Crestwood, KY/South Oldham) scored the Lions' second goal of the game, at 12:37 of the third quarter. making the score 12-2. Concordia, however, would out-score the Mount 11-4 in the second half. Cory Wojciechowski (Las Vegas, NV/Community College East) scored the Lions final three goals. Ryan Gallagher (Chicago, IL/St. Rita) also added an assist in the game.

Joe Illencik (Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) started in goal for the Lions, and played the first half, recording five saves. Mike Weil (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) played the entire second half in goal for the Mount, and had six saves. Concordia had a 46-23 advantage in shots, including 33-14 in shots on goal. They also won 22-of-30 faceoffs.
