Visiting Aurora University broke open a close game in the second quarter, scoring six straight goals and went on to a 12-3 win over the Mount on Schueler Field on Wednesday afternoon. The Mount, 1-9 overall, 0-4 in the MLC, returns to action on Apr. 2 when they host Wittenberg University.

Aurora posted a 1-0 lead in the game against the Lions, before the Mount's Andrew Stoffer (Palatine, IL/Palatine) tied the score at one-all. The Spartans then scored the game's next two goals, two go up by two, but Ryan Gallagher (Chicago, IL/St. Rita) cut the deficit to 3-2 early in the second quarter. Aurora then went on a six-goal scoring spree, getting goals from five different players, down to the 12:49 mark of the third quarter to take a commanding 9-2 lead. Cory Wojciechowski (Las Vegas, NV/Community College East) scored the Mount's final goal of the game, at 11:22 of the fourth quarter, to make the score 9-4. Auroroa added three fourth quarter goals to close the scoring.
