The Mount got a balanced scoring attack tonight against Transylvania University, with three players tallying four or more goals, and the Lions rolled to a 15-6 home win over the Pioneeers. The Mount, 3-3 on the season, will return to action on March 23 when they play at MLC-rival Elmhurst College. The Lions are 1-0 in conference play in 2013.

The Lions received goals from three different players, including two each by Will McClanahan (Cincinnati, OH/Madeira) and Patrick McClanahan (Cincinnati, OH/Madeira), as they jumped out to a 6-0 advantage against Transylvania. The Mount would take a 7-2 lead into the locker room at the half and came out strong in the third quarter, out-shooting the visitors, 8-2, and out-scoring their opponent, 5-1. Both teams scored three goals each in the final quarter of play.

Patrick McClanahan finished with five goals while Will McClanahan added four goals and two assists. Ryan Gallagher (Chicago, IL/St. Rita) also had four goals in the game for the Lions. Joey Ely (Centerville, OH/Centerville) added a goal and two assists. Joe Illencik (Youngstown, OH/Cardinal Mooney) played the entire 60 minutes in goal for the Mount, recording six saves.
