Second-ranked men's golf team wins Dick Park Invitational

The #2 nationally ranked Lions traveled to Franklin, Indiana for a two day event at the Legends of Indiana Golf Course Sunday and Monday. The Lions finished the event with a team score of 601, +25 for the tournament. The Lions won the event by seven strokes over Milikin University, with HCAC foe Rose-Hulman finishing third with a score of 614.

Danny Gravett (Cincinnati, OH/SPCA) led the Lions firing a 76 on Sunday, following it up with a 1-under par 71 today. His total of 147 was good enough for a third place individual finish. Eric Hensler (Fairfield, OH/Fairfield) finished just behind Gravett in a tie for fourth place. Hensler started strong with a 71 on Sunday, and finished with a 77 today, for a total of 148. The other two Lions that recorded a team score were Matt Stiens (Cincinnati, OH/LaSalle) and Stephen Beamer (Cincinnati, OH/Madeira). Stiens (75-75, 150) and Beamer (77-79, 156) finished seventh and 22nd respectively.

The Lions return to action next Sunday when they travel to Howard, Ohio to play in the Kenyon College Invitational. The Lions will play the Apple Valley Golf Club Sunday, and will finish Monday at the Mount Vernon Country Club.
