Lions' senior golfer Phil Gilmore named HCAC Player of the Week

The College of Mount St. Joseph’s Phil Gilmore (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington), who helped the Lions to a first place finish at the Transylvania University  Invitational over the weekend, has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week. The senior finished in a tie for second place with a two-round score of 144, just one stroke behind the leader. 

Gilmore was the top finishing HCAC golfer at the event, firing rounds of 70 and 74, earning a spot on the All-Tournament team.  The Mount captured the team title with a total of 588, finishing three strokes better than Rhodes College.

The Mount golfer, who is majoring in History, is in his fourth year with the team.
