Mount St. Joseph University has been chosen for 10th place among the men's cross country squads in the HCAC Coaches' Preseason Poll.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s men’s cross country team has been selected as the front runner to win the 2014 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. In a poll of the ten HCAC head coaches, the Engineers received 95 total points and five first place votes.
Manchester University will strive for its sixth-straight title, as the Spartans totaled 93 points and the final five first place votes. Bluffton University placed third in the poll with 77 points, while Hanover College finished fourth with 69 points. Anderson University finished fifth with 56 points and was followed by Defiance College (54 points), Franklin College (46), Earlham College (28), Transylvania University (20), and the Mount (12).

David McSwain Sophomore Cincinnati, Ohio/Cincinnati Christian
Bailey Rolson Freshman Cincinnati, Ohio/Roger Bacon
James Vinson Freshman Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain
