Lions' men's cross country team races in the All-Ohio Championships

The College Of Mount St. Joseph cross country squad competed at the All-Ohio Championships on Friday. The Lions finished 41st overall in the meet held at Cedarville University, 21st among Division III schools. The meet champion was Akron University, followed by Malone University and Miami (OH) University.

Leading the way for the Lions was Alex Griffin (Cleves, OH/Taylor), who finished in 245th place. Griffin finished the eight-kilometer course in a time of 31:40.76. Following Griffin for the Mount was Chris Klaine (North Bend, OH/Taylor). Klaine finished in 252nd place recording a time of 32:35.89. Senior Jonathan Mathis (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon) was third for the Lions in a time of 34:14.54.

The Lions will travel to Orlando, Florida next weekend to compete in the Walt Disney World Cross Country Classic.
