HCAC releases men's cross country preseason poll

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason men's cross country poll has been released and the Mount has been chosen to finish ninth this season. Manchester University, which has won the last four HCAC Championships, was chosen as the front runner in the poll, garnering nine, first-place votes, good for 99 points. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (one, first-place vote, 89 points) was the runner-up.

Franklin College, Defiance College, Bluffton University, followed in the poll, which was rounded out by Hanover College, Anderson University, Earlham College, the Mount, and Transylvania University.

The following Mount runners were selected as "Runners to Watch" for the 2013 season:

Bret Dwenger   Freshman          Sunman, IN/East Central

Alex Griffin       Freshman          Cleves, OH/Taylor

Hayden Sharp Freshman          Wyoming, OH/Wyoming
