Lions' Cross Country team competes at the Regional Meet

On Saturday The Mount men's cross country team competed at the regional meet. All runners who finished high enough had a chance to qualify for nationals. The 8,000 meter race was hosted by Anderson Universtiy. The meet champion was William Jones of Fransiscan College, and Calvin University won the team title.

Crossing the finish line first for the Lions first was Jonathan Mathis (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon) who finished in a time of 29 minutes and 45 seconds, which ties him for the tenth best regional time in school history. The Lion's second place finisher was Chris Klaine (North Bend, OH/Taylor) who finished in a time 30 minutes and 57 seconds. Senior Colton Chicketti (Centerville, OH/Alter) finished his last race for the Lions in a time of 34 minutes and 27 seconds.

This meet wraps up the 2012 fall season for the Lions cross country team.
