Lions finish 31st at Wilmington College Fall Classic

The Mount cross country team made the trip to Wilmington, Ohio to compete against 33 other teams at the Wilmington Classic. The Lions placed 31st out of 34 teams. Other notable teams at the meet included the champions Ashland University, along with many HCAC members, including Franklin and Defiance.

Finishing first for the Lions was Jon Mathis (Cincinnati, OH/Roger Bacon) in a time of 29:41 over the 8,000 meter course. Following him was Chris Klaine (North Bendnd, OH/Taylor) in a time of 31:04.

The Lions will return to action in two weeks on Saturday October 27th. They will travel to Bluffton, Ohio to compete in the HCAC Championships.
