Mount junior forward David Mann (Fairfield, OH/Cincinnati Christian) and sophomore guard Andy Countryman (Peebles, OH/Peebles) have been chosen as basketball "Players to Watch" this season in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Mann, was a 2011-2012 HCAC Honorable Mention selection, while Countryman played in 24 of the team's 25 games last season and recorded an 11.6 points per game average. Mann led the team last season at 12.9 ppg.

The Mount was chosen ninth in the conference coaches preseason poll, while last season's HCAC champion, Transylvania University, was picked for the top spot, grabbing seven of the nine first-place votes. Click here for the entire poll and list of top players.
