Nominations are still being accepted for the 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame at Mount St. Joseph University. The Athletic Hall of Fame (AHOF) honors coaches and athletes who represent the best of the Mount's athletics program and who have played an imported role in its history.
To be eligible for induction into the AHOF, alumni must have graduated at least 10 years earlier, received at least two varsity letters and meet several other criteria. All entries are reviewed by the members of the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Nominations may be submitted online at http://msjsports.com/hall_of_fame/AHOF_Nomination_Form.
Throughout the decades, the Mount hired and groomed successful coaches, directors and student-athletes. The establishment of the Athletic Hall of Fame serves as a tribute to the all Mount athletes of yesterday, today and the years to come.
"The Hall of Fame celebrates the legacy of athletics at The Mount," says Steven Radcliffe, director of alumni relations. "It is important that current and future students know the history of sports at The Mount, especially the impact made by women athletes and coaches before Title IX."
The 2018 Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner will take place at the Mount on Friday, October 5, a kickoff to Homecoming Weekend.
