Mount football program adds first-year player

Ohio High School Division 5 Defensive Player of the Year, Zach Dickman (Coldwater High School), the son of Krista and James Dickman, will attend the College of Mount St Joseph in the fall and play football for the Lions.

Dickman, who played middle linebacker for the  Coldwater State Champions, is 6-foot-1, 225-pounds. He recorded 143 tackles, two blocked punts, and scored one touchdown. He is expected to make an immediate impact at the Mount.  

Dickman was named Second team All-American by Max Preps, and All-Ohio Academic team, as well as winning a Kiwanis Academic award, being in the National Honor Society, and a member of the high school band. He was also on his high school’s swim team and in Student Council. He was coached in football by Head Coach Chip Otten. Dickman plans to major in Science and to become a Doctor.
