Lions' running back James Clay (Louisville, KY/duPont Manual) has been chosen D3football.com All-America Third team. This is the second All-American award for Clay this post-season, as he was also named recently to the AFCA All-America First Team. He was one of five HCAC players that was named to one of the D3football.com All-America teams. The HCAC honorees were among 100 athletes to earn the honor. The D3football.com All-Americans were named on Friday during the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl festivities.

On Saturday, Dec. 15, Clay participated in the Aztec Bowl XL at the University of Nuevo Leon Volcano Stadium in Monterrey, Mexico. The USA sqaud (Stars and Stripes) defeated the all-star team from Mexico, 32-15. Clay led all rushers with 61 yards rushing (on nine carries) while also returning two kickoffs for 60 yards.
