Lions' running back James Clay to play in the Aztec Bowl XL

College of Mount St. Joseph running back James Clay (Louisville, KY/duPont Manual) have accepted an invitation to Aztec Bowl XL organizers have announced.  The game will be held December 14, 2012 at University of Nuevo Leon Volcano Stadium in Monterrey, Mexico, kicking off at 6 pm. CST and broadcast live online with Champs Sports Network.

Clay, a senior, leads NCAA DIII football finishing the 2012 season with 2,124 yards rushing, 21 rushing TDs (23 overall) and 2,520 all-purpose yards. Clay has set  several Team and Conference records including a game-high 342 yards rushing and has been selected the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Most Valuable Player. Clay has been named a First Team All-Conference player, as well as being named conference player of the week twice this season.

The 42 players on the American team have been assembled by 360 Sports and Events - All American Bowl and is proud to present this exciting opportunity to showcase the United States top small college players in the 2012 Aztec Bowl. Last year the American Eagles All Stars beat the Mexican National All Stars 28-14 in front of a exuberant crowd of 15,300 in Chihuahua Mexico.
