Taylor Simpson (Monroe, OH/Monroe) and Werner led the offense with two hits each while Wendeln added two RBI.
Jacob Hoying (Russia, OH/Russia) started an took the pitching loss, falling to 1-2 this season. Four Mount relievers followed Hoying to the mound, combining for 4 1/3 innings pitched and allowing one run. Lions' batters struck out 13 times in the game and left eight runners on base.
