The College of Mount St. Joseph improved to 3-5 on the season on Tuesday when they blanked Ohio Wesleyan University, 5-0, in Port Charlotte, FL. The Mount will be back in Spring Break action on March 15 when they take on Baldwin Wallace University.

Drew Ernst (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) improved to 2-0 on the season as he, and two Mount relievers, tossed the combined shutout. Ernst went six innings, allowing two hits and recording five strikeouts, while teammates Nathan Lambert (Lawrenceburg,IN/Lawrenceburg) and Chris Bruckman (Huber Heights, OH/Chaminade-Julienne) finished the effort.

The Lions' offense recorded nine hits in the game. They were led by Taylor Simpson (Monroe, OH/Monroe), who had three hits a walk, a stolen base and two runs scored. Jonathan Roberts (Hebron, KY/Conner) added three hits, with a double and an RBI.
