Lions' baseball team set to open 2013 season with slate of Kentucky games

Mount Head Coach Chuck Murray and his 2013 Lions' baseball team will begin play this spring with a schedule of three games in Kentucky. The Mount is scheduled to open the new campaign on Feb. 22 with a game at Spalding University in Louisville, KY. The Lions will then play a doubleheader on Feb. 23 at Centre College in Danville, KY.

Other highlights of the 2013 schedule include the Lions' home opener, Mar. 4 when they host Marian (IN) University at the University of Cincinnati's Marge Schott Stadium, seven games scheduled in Port Charlotte, FL starting Mar. 10, and the conference opening weekend of games, Mar. 23-24 when they play Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at home.

Murray is just eight victories from 400 wins in his Mount career. He is entering the 17th season as the Lions' head coach, and has compiled a 392-273 mark.
